Appointments

appointments

Please feel free to ask any questions at the time of consultation or contact the practice nurse or doctor at another time to discuss questions that arise.

We run an appointment system. Appointments are normally 10 minutes long. If you need to discuss more than one thing, please book an additional appointment. The doctors and nurses generally see patients on time, so please be punctual.

PLEASE NOTE:  APPOINTMENTS FOR MEDICALS SHOULD BE MADE BY TELEPHONING THE SURGERY AND INFORMING THE RECEPTIONIST THAT YOU WISH TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT FOR A MEDICAL - THANK YOU

If you cannot or do not wish to attend, please cancel your appointment as soon as possible so that we can offer it to someone else.

Making an Appointment

There are 2 appointment options:

  • If you feel ill and need to see a doctor the same day, ring the surgery on 0121 308 2080 after 8.00am Mon to Fri for an urgent appointment on that day. We cannot guarantee you will be able to see the doctor of your choice.
  • Alternatively you can pre-book an appointment with a doctor up to 4 weeks in advance.

You can also book and cancel appointments online once you have registered for patient access and brought your ID in to the surgery.  Click the link below to begin your online patient access registration process or, if already registered for this service, to make or cancel your appointment.

All nurse appointments are bookable in advance. Nurses are normally available for urgent treatment at short notice, however, please check with reception first as patients would normally be offered the next available appointment.

Emergency Contraception

If you have had unprotected sexual intercourse and are concerned you may be pregnant, please contact the surgery within 72 hours of intercourse taking place. It would be helpful if you could let the receptionist know that you need an urgent appointment for emergency contraception, she will then give you an appointment for the same day. Alternatively you can purchase the morning after pill from your local chemist.
